Home of my dreams

Children’s Home
“Casa De Mis Sueños”

Family and Education

We are dedicated to caring for and educating young people in Colombia who come from backgrounds of violence, abandonment, and displacement. We do our best to provide good care to the children who come to live in our homes by offering protection in a family environment and teaching values through a biblical perspective. Here they have a place to live as long as their families can not provide. Once conditions have improved, we help them transition back to their households.

Safety and Provision

Home of My Dreams provides children with a temporary place to live when their own houses are impoverished or unsafe. We transport our kids to and from school, help them with homework, supply all meals, medical care, and emotional therapy.

Healing and Restoration

While the children stay with us, we also lead them to an understanding of who God is and to trust in His faithfulness. Through a relationship with the Lord, they are enabled to receive healing from past suffering and enter into forgiveness towards their perpetrators. We walk beside our teens as they discover their calling by giving our 18-year-olds the opportunity to go to Discipleship Training School (DTS) through YWAM. Of course, we will make our best to support them also on any other paths that they choose after having finished school.

Our Locations

In 1993, our founder Enith Diaz started YWAM Mercy in the vibrant city of Medellín. 23 years later, in 2016, we expanded our vision by opening a second orphanage in Montelibano in the state of Cordoba.

Medellín

Placed near the center of the city, our base in Medellín provides room for 25 boys, 25 girls and 25 volunteers.

Montelibano

Our second orphanage is a 9 hour bus ride from Medellín, and is the home of 6 boys, 5 girls, and 3 volunteers.
